Dog Meatloaf

The homemade dog food experiment is going well. Harry has gained a bit of weight, Mimi has dropped some so I've adjusted the portions. They inhale this stuff!

Here's the recipe for Dog Meatloaf. Sorry it's a jpg; blogger won't put up anything but images. If you want a word copy of this, let me know.

I love the notation that it's "for" dogs and not "of" dogs!

You remember Coleen with the aussies? She used to can meat... venison, chicken, etc... I was in her pantry once and saw jars of meat labeled "chicken", "deer", "dog."

When I asked her what the "dog" was, she made it clear that it was lower grade cuts of venison suitable for dogs, and, of course, not "of" dogs!

How many squares are in a pan? I want to save this incase I ever loose my mind and start cooking for the dogs! In your situation, I am sure I would be doing the same thing you are though.

There are about 28-32 squares per pan. I'll add that to the document today!

Are you still making this, or have you found decent kibble somewhere?
